Standing athwart history, yelling 'WTF'


The elaborate High Altar of the Catedral Primada de Santa Maria de Toledo (Primatial Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo), more popularly known simply as Toledo Cathedral, the seat of the Archbishop of Toledo, and Mother Church of Spain.
The retablo or altarpiece—which rises to a height of five storeys—is a splendid example of the truly florid extremes which the Gothic style achieved in Spain. Here is a photo of the retablo in very high resolution (72MB).
